Jill consults on initiative strategy, program design, and performance monitoring and evaluation to clients including the Cape Cod Fisheries Trust, California Ocean Science Trust, Resources Legacy Fund, and the Gates Foundation. She also conducts research, analysis and writing projects for Amplifier and its clients.
Jill has more than a decade of professional experience consulting to foundations, nonprofit organizations and family philanthropies. Prior to joining Amplifier she was director of client services at the Hiles Group, where her responsibilities encompassed program and fund development consulting and all aspects of strategic grantmaking. Before entering the consulting field Jill was manager of strategic development for San Francisco Works, where she designed and managed performance-based contracts with nonprofit workforce development organizations. She previously served as a grants and contracts specialist at Walden House, one of California’s largest substance abuse treatment organizations, and was the first administrative/program director of A Home Away from Homelessness, a nonprofit serving homeless children and families. Jill holds an MA from the University of California, Berkeley and a BA from Reed College. She sits on the board of the Ashbury Children’s Foundation.
